Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Utah Community & Refugee Partnership center. Volunteers play an integral role in the our efforts to educate, empower and transform lives, restore safety, dignity, and hope to people whose lives have been uprooted by war and disaster. You will be working hand in hand with our staff to provide support and assistance to refugees, considering their options in regards to education, health, immigration, housing and other relevant issues.

One of the most important things members of our community can do to welcome refugees is to become part of a refugee’s life. Our volunteers provide invaluable support to refugees as they adjust to everyday life in Utah County—and more often than not, our volunteers gain just as much from the experience. Volunteering with Utah Community and Refugee Partnership Center are a great way to gain valuable experience working with a diverse population. Our staff are as diverse as our programs.

Our volunteer helps refugees become self-sufficient and acclimate to a new culture.Volunteers play a critical role in helping refugees adjust to life in their new place.  There are various ways to get involved as a volunteer…from building friendships to teaching English skills, volunteers accompany refugees as they settle into their new lives. Both case manager and volunteers  work hand in hand to provide support and assistance to refugees considering their options in regards to immigration, housing, health and other relevant issues.

WHY SHOULD YOU VOLUNTEER FOR REFUGEES

Refugees are among the most vulnerable people on the planet. Most have experienced profound loss and trauma in their native countries. Volunteers help refugees regain a sense of security and stability in the United States. Volunteers at Utah Community and Refugee Partnership Center help refugees learn English, get to medical appointments, enroll their children in school, and offer support and friendship during a stressful time.
